Zumba is a popular fitness program inspired by Latin dance. The word "Zumba" comes from a Colombian word that means to move fast and have fun, which is just how people describe the routine. Using upbeat Latin music together with cardiovascular exercise, Zumba is aerobic dancing that is lots of fun and easy to learn.
Zumba seems to be an optimal fitness choice, mixing cardio intervals with resistance training. Many experts believe that an interval/resistance combination maximizes caloric output, fat burning, and total body toning. Zumba mixes effective body sculpting movements with easy-to-follow, fun dance steps. People seem to forget about working out during a Zumba session, allowing them to exercise longer, and burn even more calories.
A typical Zumba session lasts about an hour and incorporates several dance styles, including cumbia, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, mambo, rumba, flamenco, and calypso and Salsaton. The Latin music includes both fast and slow rhythms, allowing for a great cardio workout as well as body sculpting exercises. Depending on the instructor, you may even get a taste of belly dancing or hip-hop dancing, too.
If you are a mother suffering from a postnatal illness zumba classes will light up your spirit and keep you fit. A group of Zumba instructors are willing for you to try Zumba classes for free. You can register up to 2 free Zumba classes per instructor any day of the week. One offer per instructor.

If you enjoy high energy, motivating music, and like to try unique moves and combinations, Zumba may be your ticket to fitness. These are some of the benefits:
Zumba is total body workout.- Most of the exercises with weight lifting and resistance training are targeted to the lower body. Zumba provides a total body toning routine along with a heart pumping aerobic workout. It’s a way to get toned, benefit the heart and burn calories all at the same time. Zumba is upbeat and fun.- The most common reason people stop excercising is time and boredom. Zumba addresses both of these problems by providing a total body workout in one session and making exercise fun. The music is lively and the mood is incredibly upbeat in a Zumba exercise class. Time goes by quickly because the dance routines are anything but boring. Most people look forward to coming to class and seeing results not only in their body shape but in their mood character. Zumba is a great stress reliever.- Zumba classes are all about releasing your inhibitions and losing yourself in the movements. Some people who attend Zumba classes say it’s better than therapy. Not only do the energetic moves cause release of mood altering endorphins, you can feel your worries melt away as you lose yourself in the music and the movements. Zumba is a form of internal training.- Internal training is one of the best ways to burn calories, and Zumba incorporates the principles of interval training into every workout by using alternating fast and slow sequences to vary the intensity. An hour spent in a Zumba class can burn hundreds of calories. Zumba tones the abdominals.- Many Zumba dance moves are a great way to work the core adbominal muscles which gives the pelvis its strength. This means firmer abdominals and a lower risk of back pain. Zumba for you.- You can join any of the classes that are shown on the next two pages and give it a try. It is free, you only need to send an email to the Zumba instructor and let them know that you come through this website www.birthtraumacounselling.org. It is a great way to make friends and enjoy the upbeat atmosphere that this party brings for all participants.
